CMI Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership (Doctorate in Management)
This is the highest business strategic management qualification in the world from the highly prestigious Chartered Management Institute.
These are postgraduate level qualifications in Professional Consulting developed by Institute of Consulting and the Chartered Management Institute. It has been designed to develop strategic consultancy skills.
This level of management consulting certification, which on an academic level is a RQF Level 7, is equal to a Master’s Degree, an Integrated Master’s Degree, a Postgraduate Diploma, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a Postgraduate Certificate.

I love dogs. I think they’re the best creatures on the planet and I talk to mine all the time about business challenges!
I have a wife and daughter who are my world and I know it’s not always easy to see as much of them as us super-serious business owners would like to.
I love life and business challenges. Here I ran The Brighton Marathon with a 25kg backpack. (I’m the knackered looking one trailing behind the man mountain!)
I have also been kick-boxing since 1991 and have 7 black belts in Kick-Boxing and Kung-Fu. It’s the only sport I ever wanted to do and still do it to this day.

Here is a quick glimpse at my work and education history.
Corfe Hills School (Dorset) – to 1987
Not my finest hour! The school advised perhaps schooling wasn’t right for me at that time – maybe the workplace would be a better environment for me to thrive!
Safeways Foodstores 1987 – 1992
Loved work! Worked up to Produce Department manager in under 5 years, in charge of fruit and veg dept with 8-12 staff to manage. But my itch to fulfil a life dream was just too strong …
HM Submarines – 1992-2002
Deputy in charge of HM Submarines Control Room Tactical Systems with 6 staff under me. Gained 2 GCSE’s (Maths and English) and 2 A Levels (Business and Economics) whilst at sea in 1997 / 1998 and my passion for learning starts!
Various – 2002 – 2004
Tried several jobs to save money to start my own business!
2004 – Date
Started my own carpet cleaning and flooring business with saved capital, now grown to 3-7 as flooring fitters. Went bust in 2008 crash due to some frankly absurd business decisions but recovered and vowed to build on failure to create success, hence the business courses.
Continuous Education
Since I got my first GCSE’s at the age of 28 I have loved learning ever since and now I do at least 4 hours a day learning about business or training for qualifications.
